Sufia Khan is a PhD candidate at the Department of Islamic Studies, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. The topic of her PhD is Nonviolence in the Teachings of Prophet Muhammad and its Contemporary Relevance. She has a master’s degree in Islamic Studies from the Department of Islamic Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. She qualified JRF/NET in 2015. She is a member of the Delhi-based Centre for Peace and Spirituality where she is a scholar and trainer since 2007.
She has spoken on Islamic themes at Vidyajyoti College of Theology, New Delhi, dialogues organized by the German NGO Missionszentrale der Franziskaner, and other interfaith programs of CPS. She has participated in various international conferences such as the ISNA Convention in Chicago, USA in 2011 and 2015; and the RIS Convention in Toronto, Canada in 2015.
