Maria Khan is an author, speaker and peace activist. She has received her doctorate degree from the Department of Islamic Studies, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. The topic of her PhD is Quranic Concept of Dawah: Contemporary Relevance.
She is the sub-editor of Spirit of Islam, a monthly periodical of Islam; the author of Ali ibn Abi Talib (Goodword Books); and a regular contributor of articles to newspapers and websites. She has spoken on Islamic themes at Vidyajyoti College of Theology, New Delhi, dialogues organized by the German NGO Missionszentrale der Franziskaner, and other interfaith programs of CPS. She has also been interviewed by news channels, such as CNN IBN and NDTV, on current issues relating to Islam. Her programme on ETV Urdu, Islam for Kids had wide viewership. She is an editor of the CPS Academic Team.
